Area Description: Top of Jones Pass zone - Buddha Belly

Weather

Weather Description: Blowing out of west 30-40, near zero visibility at times. 10 degrees F with wind chill

Snowpack

Snowpack Description: Unconsolidated surface snow 10-15” drifted in on top of old melt freeze layer.

Avalanches

Avalanche Description: Soft surface slab release off cornice. Skier 1 approached cornice from behind and popped a small section that propagated 25 yards to the right and stopped 25-30 feet down the slope. 35-40 degrees aspect with snow loading
