Date: 2011/02/26 (Estimated) Observer: Jon Hare Landmark: Vail Pass Comments: Skier left hand side, north ptarmigan slide chute. 11800 elevation.Snowboarder jumped off cornice and cornice partially broke underneath resulting in 2-3 crown. Snowboarder maintained his feet and was able to ride away from slide. observed with Binoculars and from talking to the involved party.
