• Area Description: My partner triggered what I’d call an R1 D1 above the first choke in the Silver Couloir. Wind slab. Nobody was injured or buried.

• Weather Description: Clear, cold, windy above treeline.

• Snowpack Description: Sticky, variable and wind affected. No pronounced loading or drifted snow. Sastrugi in some areas.

Avalanches

• Avalanche Description: Only one we saw was the slab we popped.
