Snowpack

• Snowpack Description: Inside the couloir in the start zone there was an approximately 10cm new and wind deposited layer on top of an old crust.

Snowpack Obsvervation Cracking: Moderate Collapsing: None

Avalanches

• Avalanche Description: After rappelling into the top of the coulior I sank approximately 30 cm into new and wind deposited layer. While still on rope I put my skis on and made a ski cut close to the top of the start zone. The new and wind deposited SS ran majority of the couloir. Not a large avalanche but enough to take someone for a ride especially in rugged terrain.
