- Comments: The slide started in a thin area above a small rock rollover and then propagated to roughly 50’ across below that. I was knocked off my feet and was carried about 60’ on top of the slide before grabbing a tree after going over the rock. The snowpack was 6”-18” of new snow over a thin but stiff slab over facets over rock. I’d estimate that the whole slide ran 100’-150’ from the top to bottom, but the largest crown was about 1/3 of the way down.
