Snowpack
Snowpack Description:
HS 140-170cm NSFc on surface with 30cm of unconsolidated snow below. PS slab observed but no signs of reactivity Upper SnPx was getting moist on S-SE aspects by 2pm
Avalanches
Avalanche Description:
1 observed just below ridge line on Hidden Knoll SE aspect NTL: R2-D1 AS/u SS - crown was 30cm deep and broke into the underside of a cornice. Track heading into trigger point was observed to have exited immediately and skier was not caught. Slide was ~75ft wide by ~200Ft long. 1 observed on E aspect BTL near cliff bands on E side of Hidden Knoll. Unknown cause, R2-D2, no skier involvement/signals observed. Looked to be ~24hrs old. Did not get to see crown very well, but broke above cliff and traveled over cliff to debris zone ~150ft length. Suspected new PS problem formed over the last 4 days.
