CAIC Comments

A snowboarder triggered an avalanche near Pass Lake on Loveland Pass. The avalanche occurred on an east aspect above treeline. Several other people had ridden the slope prior to the rider who triggered the avalanche. He was caught, carried, and ended up burried to his waist about 30 feet above the toe of the debris. The rider was uninjured and able to self-evacuate.
