Weather

Weather Description: Variable winter mix. Occasional snow showers, consistent cloud cover and wind gusts above treeline in the 30's. Temps around 15 degrees.

Snowpack

Snowpack Description: Wind loaded repeater path. Faceted snow as a base with 18" to 36" of newly wind deposited snow. Classic chalky surface, obvious signs of extreme wind loading and instability. Hasty pits showed no signs of cohesion between wind deposited snow and the faceted base.

Avalanches

Avalanche Description: Jones pass ESE facing 11,800' 2:15PM
