BC Zone: Aspen
Area Description: East aspect 11500’. 34-38 degree slope. open, spaced old growth forest. Crown was just below convex where slope hit 38 degrees.

Weather

Weather Description: Highlands ridge. Blue bird. Calm winds. Temps in the low 20’sF

Snowpack

Snowpack Description: Hs 130cm. Entire snowpack failed below crust, 15cm from ground at crust/facet interface.

Collapsing: Rumbling

Avalanches

Avalanche Description: HS-AF-R2-D2-O Crown 150’ +/- Depth of crown 100-120cm Ran 200’
