Weather
Weather Description:
S-1, OVC, 11900', ~15-20º F, Winds ~15 w/ gusts to 30 MPH Southerly to Southeasterly.
Snowpack
Snowpack Description:
BTL, MF layer was crumbling underneath new snow and skis and was obvious that it did not have good overnight freezes recently. ATL, MF was much more solid, with a good feeling interface between the new snow and past corn cycle.
Avalanches
Avalanche Description:
Z Chute, 11900', North Facing, Soft slab avalanche triggered by intentional ski cut on convexity of wind slab at the top of the line Y Chute, 11900', North Facing, Soft slab avalanche debris observed during egress of Current Creek. Unknown trigger, likely skier ~4 lines down obvserved.
