Very warm afternoon on the 18th some WL activity observed, dusting of snow overnight
Avalanches
Avalanche Description:
Quite the week "digging" through interesting obs. Most paths in upper Castle Creek have been substantially widened and lengthened. Though not the largest in the valley, one of the more unique slides was in the N facing Ear Bowl of Greg Mace which might have run early/mid cycle (7th-8th?) . This very large avalanche destroyed a substantial amount of forest, and the existing path was lengthened by ~1/4 mile (R5-D4). This is exciting for new skiing but not for summer truck access (2020?) due to the fact that the forest was deposited in the road.
