Avalanche Description:
Southern most shoot on the east facing side of Mt. Royal. The shoot just north of the "Royal Trees". About midway down the shoot on a steep rock face the width of the shoot slid out and fell off the face bringing me down about 20 yards, luckily I stayed at the very top of the slide the whole time and swam off to the skiers right before getting sucked down all the way. The break was about the width of the shoot at its most narrow point, Maybe 6 feet wide. The depth was about 3.5ft. It fully exposed the rock face underneath. the shelf where it cracked was about 4 ft deep. The slide left nothing behind except exposed rock. I boarded down the rest of the shoot and the av was all piled up on the bottom of the shoot
