Area Description: Postage Stamp, 110s area, Current creek, Berthoud Pass

Weather

Weather Description: It was snowing the entire day, light wind, no predominant direction. Postage stamp is around 12,000' and facing S

Snowpack

Snowpack Description: 6" of fresh light snow on top of a tough sun crust. We did not dig a pit to see what was under the crust.

Avalanches

Avalanche Description: I set off an avalanche before I even made a turn. The top 6" ripped off with a shooting crack in front of my skis. It broke directly at my feet. I did not get caught up in it, and no one was hurt.
