Location
BC Zone:
Vail & Summit County
Area Description:
East Vail, just skiers right of Tele-Line
Snowpack
Snowpack Description:
Ski pen 30-40 cm. Old/storm snow interface did not feel reactive in hand sheer. Two barely noticeable whumps I still think I may have hallucinated as we moved onto a more southerly aspect at 10,500ft. Did not notice any associated cracks on the surface.
Avalanches
Avalanche Description:
11,000ft ESE D1- ran from inside storm snow, did not step into anything at the old/new interface. 5-10in crown depth, rough estimate from bottom of slope. Was unclear if we triggered or if it ran naturally. Looked very recent.
