• Avalanche Description: Skier (me) remotely triggered soft slab on SE aspect of Mt Trelease @ 11,300 feet. 75 feet wide, ran 150 feet. Crown 1-3 feet, broke on basal facets just below a wind loaded ~30 degree rollover where snow pack was noticeably thinner among willow shrubs. I skied parallel to the slope which slid on a slightly shallower (~28 degree) portion of the slope and was on a descending traverse which undercut the slope when it released. Even with trying to manage our terrain choices and sticking to apprioruate angles we managed to find a small but reactive pocket. Aspect: SE Elevation: Near treeline
