• Weather Description: Warm and sunny. Trees swaying in the west wind. A few clouds. 47 F @ 10:00 a.m.

Snowpack

• Snowpack Description: NTL, S-SE: Supportive to skis in flats, steeper slopes became more slushy. By 11:30 a.m. every-other step was knee deep. Heavy and wet snow down 80 cm. Below that was moist. A couple thin crusts were evident while probing. BTL, W-S-E: Patchy snow below 9,800 ft even in heavy timber. BTL, N: Winter-like snowpack hanging in there at 10,000 ft. Recent snow settled into 15 cm of heavy powder. Below that was a very strong (1F-P) pack to the ground. Some small rounding facets near the ground over talus.

• Avalanche Description: Two small Loose Wet avalanches that looked to involve our latest storm snow.
