Snowpack Description:
SNOWPACK: 15cm settled storm snow found. Surface was cold and dry snow on Northerly aspects and a thin MF crust on any solar aspects. Faintest hint of red dust is showing through from last wind event :-( . Storm snow mostly resting on a supportive MFcr, and found only unsupportive full-depth facets below in the darkest of timber on >35* slopes. Slow, surface snow sluffing on MFcr on slopes 35* or greater. One loose snow slide in steep E/NE terrain w/o prior traffic became quite large, running est. 250-300' and was 50' wide. Debris pile was shallow though and would classify as D1. Drop in at top was mostly full-depth facets capped with 15cm of recent storm snow still 4F hard. Skiing was on a supportive crust once in open. Wind textured snow surface, but NO wind affected snow.
