Tour on south aspects BTL This area had little to no snow prior to 1/16 storm. HS of 50 cm with recent storm totals of 37 cm. Last week's storm settled into about 10 cm of snow with a melt-freeze crust on top. Repeated sudden drops on the crust with both compression tests and ECTs. ECTs did show potential for propagation on this layer as well. Observed widespread collapsing and shooting cracks up to 10 m. Snowing S-1 at 1445 with light to moderate blowing snow and moderate westerly winds.
