Accident Summary

PRELIMINARY: On March 6, 2024, a skier was caught and killed in an avalanche on Gunsight Peak in the Elkhorn Mountains, northwest of Baker City, Oregon. When responders arrived, bystanders were performing CPR, but resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
