Accident Summary

PRELIMINARY: One snowmobiler was caught, carried and killed in the Eureka area, near the Nelchina Glacier. Alaska State Troopers responded to the accident just before 1 PM. "Troopers responded by snow-machine from Eureka Lodge. After picking up a trooper spotter at Eureka Lodge, Helo 2 responded to the scene and recovered the body of one deceased male. All other subjects were accounted for and declined medical care. Due to hazardous conditions Helo 2 loaded the deceased male and quickly departed the area."
